NEW YORK TIMES and USA Today Bestselling Book

You know those people who Lady Luck always seems to be kissing on the cheek? The ones who get a promotion just for showing up to work? Who win that awesome raffle prize? The person who finds a hundred-dollar bill on the ground? Yeah, that's not me. And it's probably not most of us. Lady Luck is a selective bitch.

But today? Lady Luck has finally turned her gaze upon me. And I want to bow down in gratitude. Because today, I've been upgraded to first class for my flight to London. It's due to overbooking, and who knows why they picked me, but they did. First class, baby. I'm so giddy, I'm practically dancing in my seat.

Everything is perfect. That is, until HE sits down next to me: Gabriel Scott, a legend in his own right. Handsome as sin, cold as ice, the manager of the biggest rock band in the world, and a total pain in my ass. Nothing and no one gets to him. Ever. We'll just see about that.

*SWOOOOON* This sexy opposites-attract romance begins on a plane, is set against the backdrop of a rock band's tour, and I just loved it!! The snappy, witty banter kept me laughing, the heart-warming romance kept me swooning, and the healing and hotness rounded out the story so well. It was a wonderful read and I highly recommend it!

What a fantastic book. I absolutely love this author. Anything she write flows so well together and every single one of her books will put you a an emotional rollercoaster. It's also refreshing to find an author that can write so many unique characters without being redundant. She is diffently in my top 3 authors and always will be. I loved Gabriel and Sophie they were amazing together and I cannot wait to read more from this author.

Sophie Darling boards a plane headed to a job interview and is deliriously happy to find she's been upgraded to first class. Just as she settles into her new seat, she hears a stuffy, arrogant, controlled voice demanding to know why someone is sitting in his seat . . . seems this obviously wealthy man purchased two seats to ensure no one would bother him. Control Freak - Meet the woman who refuses to be managed! And so begins the hilarious banter between Sophia Darling and Gabriel Scott aka "Scottie" - manager of the biggest rock band in the world. Sophie just can't help herself - she decides to push all Scottie's buttons, prodding at him just to get a rise (she may have even mentioned some sexual act - just sayin'), and the one-liners flying between them begins. She calls him "Sunshine" (sarcasm), and he calls her "Chatty Girl". Their interaction on the plane is priceless, but an undercurrent is brewing. And by the end of their seven hour flight - they discover a connection - seems they're going to the same place and will be seeing more of each other and . . . surprise, surprise - they both want to see more of each other. The chemistry is already sizzling. As this story plays out, prepare to laugh out loud as quirky, smart, warm, funny Sophie worms her way past the cold, arrogant, controlled shell that Gabriel presents the world. He doesn't do relationships (even though he is a walking, talking sex dream) - he manages and controls people in every aspect of his life. When he walks into a room, people part (or run) to let him pass. He chews people up and spits them out. So what is he supposed to do with this loud, sexy siren who dares challenge him? Who refuses to run when he says "Boo"? Who calls to him on every level? Who makes him want & need? Managed is a great addition to the VIP series. I was intrigued by Scottie in Idol, book 1, and wanted to know more about him. I'm happy to say he lives up to the hype - both as "Scottie" and as Gabriel/Sunshine! I loved watching his walls crumble, brought down by a lush Marilyn Monroe look alike who refuses to shut the h*ll up! This is a hilarious, yet heart-touching book about trust, acceptance, and love. I read Managed in one sitting. It's that good and entertaining. Another Must Read from this author.

I broke my rule with this book. The rule that states that I will not start a book at nine pm at night. I had to force myself to stop reading at about 1 am because of the day job. I finished it today. I thought Idol was good, but this is better. Gabriel Scott is delicious and pairing him with Miss Sophie Darling is a delight. Really enjoyed this book so much. It's a keeper. Keep them coming. Can't wait for the rest.

Not having read any other books by the author before, I was really impressed with Managed, that completely had me reading nonstop until the very end. From the witty characters to the blossoming romance, Callihan did a fantastic job with the story that will definitely leave you wanting for more. At the beginning of the story we get to meet Sophie, an accomplished journalist/media guru whose talent led her straight into trouble when he ex decided to take advantage of her. Now wanting to start over, she applies for a job that she doesn't even know very well, only that it will take her to the other side of the world, far away from her old life. Yet, little did she know that her life was about to change forever the minute she boarded her flight. On the other hand there is Gabriel “Scottie” Scott, not only is he incredibly good-looking, but he is also manager of one of the biggest rock band in the world. He is ruthless, and knows exactly what he wants. Yet having everything is not enough, his past is one that he has worked so hard to change and move away from, but being haunted by it is what makes him keep everyone at arm's length. When he met Sophie by pure mistake he knows that he is not going to see her again, but fate had other plans and now she is working for him, which completely complicates things especially when he is starting to develop feelings for her. I really enjoyed reading how Scottie and Sophie met, it was hilarious and well played out between the characters. It's from the very beginning that we can see just how strong their chemistry is, and it keeps growing as the story progressed. Both of the characters have pasts that they're trying to move away from, but it's fate that ultimately brings them together in the end. Now as they're traveling with the band, they are constantly at close proximity to each other. But when Gabriel asks her to stay with him, she can't resist his proposal, but that alone could leave her in danger of falling in love with him, and that could only end up badly for the both of them. With so much chemistry between the characters, it was nice to read more about the characters around them, the band members brought a whole new level of wittiness and fun to the story. Overall, if you're looking for the perfect romance book filled with lots of amazing characters, then I would highly suggest reading this book. I will definitely be reading more from the author in the future. :) ***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.***

I couldn’t wait to read Scottie’s story in Managed. So closed off, cold and indifferent – strictly business and the band his number one priority. I couldn’t wait to see the woman that would change his ways! I will be honest and admit that I did not love book 1 (Idol) so I was torn in the beginning whether or not to accept an ARC of Managed. Well I have to say that this book blew me out of the water because the way that it was written, the bantering (OMG EPIC!) – this is a “you will smile the entire time and laugh out loud”, “never forget these characters” kind of book. Kristen Callihan gives readers great characters, unforgettable dialogue, and palpable chemistry – all things that will make readers fall in love with this book! Sophie Darling is just the person to cure this man of his aloofness, to mend his heart, to open up his mind to allow love in. Sophie is the complete opposite of Scottie (or as she calls him Gabriel). She is sweet and sassy and she makes him smile (which is a hard feat when it comes to this man bec EVERYONE is scared of him!) Readers will see another side of Gabriel (aka Scottie) once he meets Sophie. This woman literally drove him absolutely bonkers but in the best way LOL. Gabriel acts like a tyrant when it comes to the band and business. He is super protective of Kill John because they are in essence his family. The thing is that he keeps them at arms distance because he is guarding his heart. Sophie and Gabriel are put in each other’s space for the tour and it will be a true test of wills and wants. Emotionally and physically, I couldn’t wait to watch this journey unfold. Readers looking for a fun read and a look inside a band’s tour, with lovable characters that you will want to know more about should pick up this book – I can’t wait to read more from this cast of characters!!!

Managed is a can't-wait-to-see-what-happens-next type of read that will not let you put it down until you've read the final page... and then you'll be begging for more! Gabriel (Scottie) Scott and his Sophie Darling kept me awake until FOUR AM reading but I do not regret it one bit. Spending the next day like a complete zombie was totally worth it and I'd do it again in a heartbeat! This book slow burns soooooo good y'all! If you are in to the slow burn reads, like I am, this book leaves you super satisfied and completely in love with these characters. I missed the first book in this series, Idol, but I one-clicked it the second I finished reading Managed and can't wait to dig in! The little peeks in to the other members of this band made me fall in love with each of one and I want to read more about them all! I give MANAGED 5 out of 5 Krissy's Stars! LOVED this #ChattyGirl and her #Sunshine! Xo- K *I was generously given an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the banter between Sophie and Gabriel and how witty and fiery the dialogue was. I found myself laughing out loud for most of the dialogue. I mean, seriously, how freakin' fun is this: "I’ve never met a person I couldn’t manage,” comes his tight reply a few seconds later. Not bothering to take the mask off, I extend a hand his way. “Sophie Elizabeth Darling.” Sophie, our heroine, is sassy and opinionated and friendly. She's pretty stoked when she finds herself somehow upgraded to First Class on an international flight for a job interview. Until she meets her seatmate, Gabriel. Gabriel "Scottie" Scott is gruff and grumpy and cold, and people do what he wants them to. He's fearless... Or is he? ;) After verbally sparring with one another for the entire flight, they learn that they're sort of stuck with each other for awhile longer. And poor Brit Gabriel discovers that the cure to all that ails him is, for some reason, this overly chatty American cuddling up beside him. This is basically a "forced close proximity" romance, and it's a lot of fun. I couldn't help but like Gabriel, in particular, and how quickly we see beneath his grouchy exterior. How can you not be a fan of a guy who loves Buffy and is Team Spike? :) "Angel is a teen girl’s dream, all sad sighs and mental angst. Spike is for when she grows up and realizes satisfaction is hers for the taking.” That all said, I did have some issues with this that kept it from a higher star rating. One is a bit minor, but still sort of got to me - Sophie is supposed to be American and even asks what certain British-isms mean, but refers to things like "cling film" rather than "plastic/saran wrap". Others that were a bit more serious was the tone of things around the time Sophie first meets the band and Killian and how that entire thing was handled. It felt melodramatic and a bit jarring to me, though I think it would have made more sense if I had read the first book and was already familiar with the shared past Sophie has with them. After that part was over, everything took a turn back up and I really enjoyed the camaraderie that developed between Sophie, Brenna and the rest of the Kill John band and crew. After about 65% though, things sort of got muddled and bogged down again with what felt surprisingly overly dramatic again, with a grand gesture at the end that fell a bit flat & clichéd for me. Which was a bit of a bummer because I so loved these two together and the ways that they accidentally fell in love and opened themselves up! Despite those things, this was a really lovely read and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys laughter (who doesn't?), sexy with bits of dirty and characters that are far from perfect but you love them anyway. I received an ARC from the publisher to voluntarily review. This is no way influenced my review. My opinion is my own.

5 Chatty Girl's Sunshine Stars Gabriel "Scottie" Scott is "Kill John's" band manager. He is the person who keeps things in order. His firm control over all aspects of his friends' musical carrier is also symbolic for the control he has over his emotions. Guarding his heart has become second nature to Gabriel and the walls he has built around it are impenetrable. It is not that he doesn't feel but admitting is what gives other people an in to hurt you. Sophie Darling is the person who tries not to take things too seriously. She always has a sassy comeback on her lips and since meeting this closed off beautiful man who is terrified of flying on board of a plane she can't stop rattling his cage and pushing his buttons.Despite the air of aloofness she glimpses something vulnerable. Confession: I'm not a David Gandy fan. Sure, he is insanely beautiful. He has that smile that can make panties melt. What I don't like is his arrogance and attitude he displays. Yet, he was the person I imagined as the hero of this book. Gabriel is the best version David Gandy can ever hope to be. So maybe there is a little bit of Gabriel in Mr. Gandy, who knows ;) Gabriel is painfully guarded. So much that you want to draw him into a hug all the time and tell him to let loose. He has that super dry sense of humor that appeals so much to me, his quips had me laughing out loud in the waiting room of a hospital. People weren't happy with me! Deep down Gabriel is also a nurturer and I love how he takes care of Sophie. Sophie is the perfect girl to crack open his shell. She has a mouth that most of the times runs away with her, is warm and makes people laugh. She also has a spine made of steel and doesn't back down if Sophie feels she is in the right. She also owns her desire to have something real in her life and doesn't sell herself short. I thoroughly enjoyed myself reading Ms. Callihan's story about Sophie and Gabriel. She created magical moments, a heroine with enough sass to reel in a jaded businessman with an ironclad control and a wonderful ultra slow-burning love story, which I'm sure I'll be re-reading in the future. The banter was insanely entertaining - I'm always in awe because I have no idea how authors come up with these dialogues. Overall 100% recommendation from this reader!
