A must for anyone studying for promotion in law enforcement. Among topics included: principles of management and supervision associated with a police supervisor's role or manager's role as a leader, planner, communicator, interviewer, performance evaluator, and human relations specialist.
Typically, when I order items from Barnes and Nobles I receive them right away. However, it has been more than three weeks and this book still has not come in the mail. This book was ordered to be a resource in a Criminal Justice Management course. Nonetheless, it would be a great idea to find out if earlier editions are acceptable. Generally, there is little difference between editions but the professor was adamant about obtaining this particular book. This book is best used by those in, or seeking to become a part of the criminal justice field. The style of this book is written on the level of a college undergraduate.
