'Management by Vice' is a hilarious and unique workplace satire. With sharp and candid humor it addresses numerous serious issues, expressing the technical staff perspective on a range of counter-productive management practices. Each episode introduces the reader to a lively collection of vivaciously lampooned, memorable characters engaged in different projects and departments of 'The Company'. To name but a few, the determined Dr. Tessa Euler fighting to save her career and learning the meaning of 'The Company Justice'; Sandy Sanders, the pompous 'up and coming' young manager, who is more concerned about his Power Look than a Power Presentation; the sticky-fingered Dr. V.P. Barron, who asked once too often 'What's in it for me?'; the boisterous technical manager, Dr. Dan Nuthing, full of selfish motives and a perfect match to the notorious Dona Trivi, who uses her position to research into gossip and eligible husbands rather than assignments behind-the-bench; Wally Steen The Company CEO, who is more interested in sailing than sales....and many, many more! Within this high quality produced book, the reader will also find a sprinkling of C.B. Don's original, wickedly satirical, witty verses, and each of the eleven easy-to-read, fast-paced episodes is further enlivened with superbly hand-drawn pen and ink illustrations unique for this book. 'Management by Vice' is highly recommended for readers of diverse professions from both sides of the bench, who appreciate a touch of incisive humor. It makes a great gift and a thoroughly enjoyable read!
