From the numbers she uses, it's clear that her suggestions are most applicable to those already situated in the top 10% of the nation's earners and savers, such as Diane, who is outspending her ,000 per month alimony check by a month, but has a million divorce settlement to draw on, or Michael and Ann, who need to draw ,000 per annum from their .4 million nest egg.     Excellent overview of portfolio management

    Using straightforward examples and brief to-the-point chapters, the author provides an excellent overview of portfolio construction. Good reference for both experienced investors and anyone who wants to take control of their investments and design and manage a balanced portfolio. Clear explanations of std deviation, beta, and other basics will provide the building blocks of portfolio of stocks, bonds, ETFs, mututal funds, etc.
