Dear reader, I am a ten year old girl. Once I layed my eyes on this book, I could not take them off. This book is about a girl who loves animals especially manatees. Every chance she gets, she will asist a manatee. When she discovers the animal shelter in Florida had to close down, she will do anything in her will to stop it. I think this book encourages youngsters to always help any animal in danger. I highly recommend this book.

My almost 9-year old read one of the Vet Volunteers series and it inspired her to volunteer at our local cat shelter. Manatee Blues was her second book in the series. She read it in record time. Although the characters in the books are middle school students, the books appear to be aimed at an 8-10 year old reading level.

I loved this book! It's awesome, plus educational. I read a good story, and I also learned a lot! It's a great story that shows that if you believe in your dream and work to make it happen, it will become a reality.

If you like animals this is your number one choice! It is packed with surprises. I would highly recomend this book. It shows that you can do anything, if you just tried.

I really liked this book. It wasn't as good as Fight For Life, but I am sure that any animal lovers will go 'wild' for this book. It truly shows that even young adults can make a difference in saving the lives of animals.

It's as if they wrote this book with my daughter in mind. She's 12 and wants to be a marine biologist and is fascinated with manatees. When she read this book she was so moved by it she said she couldn't wait to become a marine biologist and help the manatees. Everyone tells her that she'll change her mind about her career choice when she gets older, but I don't think so after reading this book. Hats off to the author!

Like Fight for Life and Homeless, Breena cares about the Manatees. She made a diffrence in the world like Maggie did. I can't keep my hands off this book!!!
