    A Good Book with some reservations...

    A great book to learn Mandarin Chinese. Very thorough, quite comprehensive. The CD would have been very useful if the user had been allowed to put the CD contents in the user's own Windows Media Player library or on the user's IPod. As it is, these are not allowed and one will have to put the CD in his or her computer each time when the CD is used to follow pronunciation.

    SIMPLE AND CLEAR

    This book provides all students of the Chinese language an effective and powerful tool to progress in their studies. It is very well organized and topics are revisited frequently to reinforce the learner's understanding. Overall I have found the book to be pretty well balanced.
