    Disappointed

Okay so I purchased this book via my Nook Color (which I LOVE btw) first I was confused about the title of the book just seems like the title should have been different next The Character of a Man (which is really the name of the first story) was a good read but very short it also took to long to get into the story and by it being that short the writer wasted time. I hope she's gonna write a second part to this story because it left a lot of things open and in the air. Here's where the confusion came in for me there was a second story in this book written by Noire I loved the story it was a good read and well written but again I was confused because now there's a third story Single Husbands by the time I started reading the third story I was kind of upset and disappointed and again CONFUSSED the last story was super short and not a good read at all so to sum up my review of this book I will say its an okay read as long as your aware UPFRONT that you will be reading 3 short stories NOT a novel.

This book was a waiste of reading time and money

I have read former books of Mary B Morrison aka honeyB and found them quite interesting and very entertaining. In this book she is trying to hard to be "Zane" She is a great writing becasue of her own personal style of writing i.e "God don't like ugly" very good book very good story line. In "Maneater" the characters were not realistic, this was more of of sex education book than anything else. I mean if abstinence, oral sex and condoms ( and they used condoms) were Zena's birth control then how is she pregnant all of a sudden by Dante' and If Seven could not swim, after her sex therapy with Jagger and the auburn chick way out in the ocean, then why did she just jump off the boat and swim back to the resort. I mean really, this book just bounced around so much until I got confused. Honeyb tried to hard to please everyone by adding a little bit of everything; but that's all she did was add the ingredients she didn't stir very well. Maverick's mother and father have not had sex in 20years? she did not know he was gay and had AIDS .. come on... A very bad read.. this will be my last time reading her books.. I am very dissapointed in this mess!

    Interesting

This was a good read....left me a little confused on the way it started off and where it lead up too. At first i thought this was like an instructional book, but then it went to a short story. But with that being said i enjoyed the book.

Good Storyline, wish it was longer

I have read mostly all of Mary B Morrison's books. Mary can not be compared to ZANE. They are two different writers that offer two different things. I love both and appreciate them for what they bring to the table respectfully. I enjoyed this book but did not care for the ending. My nookcolor had me thinking I had a whole 100+ more pages to read, however the other 100+ pages were a different book altogether. The end of Maneater just crept up on me so fast. If you like Mary, you will enjoy this. If you are looking for Zane go purchase Zane.

    Loved this book!!

I loved this book and it kept me on the edge of my seat!! It seemed kind of short or maybe it was just because I read it in one day!! Great job. I think some books are only for the uninhibited and this definitely made me want to find a resort of my own lol!!

This book was amazing. I couln't put it down. I've read all of HoneyB's books and she cannot come out with them quick enough. From begining to the end this book will make you sweat and guaranteed to keep your imagination in sexual overdrive! Punany Paradise wow! I'm not telling about the characters or anything go buy the book it was worth the money. There is another book included in this on and Noire is no joke either. My sexual senses are at there peak watch out now. Keep them cumming for all us sex addicts. Oops I meant all of them sex addicts lol.

Response to "A Disappointing Literary Tragedy"

Mary B Morrison has delivered as she always does with her books. Anyone who has heard of Mary B Morrison KNOWS what to expect from her books and that they are for grown folks (googling her would've help you). I find it very hard to believe that everyone of your 5 people in the book club found it horrible (they may have just said that to you and maybe just closet freaks). Anyway, as I said this book was great as her others are. Great book Mary B (AKA Honey B).

    A Disappointing Literary Tragedy

This is my first, last and ONLY time reading a Mary B Morrison novel. MANEATER: was a disappointing and disorganized literary structured tragedy. This novel was shocking and offensive, to say the least to our five-member book club. The Publisher and Author (all in my opinion) have displayed the irresponsible literature decision to willfully insert "WARNING! Adult Fiction - Sexually Exquisite". Why at the end of the book? I could respect Ms Morrison and her contributing Author Noire if they had forewarned her perspective readers, especially those who are not familiar with her sexually explicit writing style.

Meanwhile, it's not my objective to spoil Ms Morrison efforts for someone else. However, how many mature men (forty and over) are discussed to the extreme of calling off a marriage because his fiancée has gained twenty-five pounds? Be serious! "Brown" men (mine included) don't want "a chicken bone". And that's a direct quote from my fiancé. Had Ms. Morrison wrote this novel from Seven's insecurities of weight gain, the story would have been more plausible consideration? Subsequently, I'd say this novel Maneater is a disappointing literary tragedy for numerous reasons. Don't was your time and or money.

I would recommend Victoria Christopher Murray as a phenomenal Novelist! Check out Ms. Murray's site: http://www.victoriachristophermurray.com/

    I Also Recommend:

Maneater....A MUST Read for all women!

This book is not for the timid or the shy. This book is a must read for women of ages 18 and older.

Mary Morrison captures the essence of how women lose themselves in relationships with men. This book teaches all women of how to know what is right and what is wrong when in a relationship with a man.

Noire captures a sizzling storyline through the eyes of a 'good guy' who never stood a chance around his boys. This story reminds us that all guys are hunks in disguise and should not be overlooked just because the "package" does not seem appealing at first!

Reading these books reminds me that there is always more to the story and never to judge the book by the cover!
