The book is an excellent reference for beginners or intermediate artists that wish to learn how to draw human characters similar to the ones seen in most of the manga and anime of today. Also, if you have a problem with drawing a certain part of the human body (i.e. the eye or the hand), then this book will help you think about that part in very simplified ways.

I guess it was a good book, but my brother got it and i thought the drawing style was more western than most actual manga. Id say that if you wanted to draw a more realistic, cartoonish drawing, then this is the right book. But i wouldnt actually call it manga, so if you want manga, i dont reccommend this book.

It doesn't show any pictures of manga or give steps! Plus...the manga in this book doesn't look like true real manga. I BET THE BOOK IS BETTER. - cupcake6433
