Overview

After being diagnosed with Bipolar II Disorder as a 20 year old college student in 2010, I decided to find out just how long I had went undiagnosed. After going through journals and journals of poetry and letters written to myself, I had determined that I was living with this disorder for at least 5 years prior. Manic is a book of poetry, all written in some form of a manic state by myself. It documents some very strong feelings, emotions, and thoughts. It takes you into the mind of a young woman searching for answers to a lifelong disorder, and trying to maintain my sanity in the process.
