About the Author

Suzanne Marie Laure Mendy, who added Sambou to her name a few years ago, is a wife and mother of four beautiful children who bring her endless joy. Originally from Senegal, a French colony country in West Africa, she moved to the United States a few years ago. She was born and raised in Senegal, where she pursued her education, majoring in literature with a focus on French, English, and Spanish. Growing up, she always thought she would become a teacher or a lawyer. However, when she reached college, she changed her path and studied Accounting, partly because she did not want to attend the college her mother had chosen for her. This decision changed her life, pushing her to work harder to succeed. She spent seven years studying accounting, earned her degrees, and worked as an accountant for 12 years before relocating to the United States. Upon arriving in the US, she furthered her education by obtaining accounting certificates, confirming her belief that numbers don’t lie—1+1 will always equal 2. From part-time jobs to temp-to-hire positions, she eventually started working at the company she is with now, living one of her passions.
A faith-driven person, Suzanne is actively involved in church ministries and activities. Back in Senegal, she was well-known as the leader of a Boy Scout group for children aged 6 to 12 for several years. She also led the church’s financial team for two years during their annual carnival. Her involvement didn’t stop there; six years after arriving in the US, she began to engage in her local church, where she currently serves as a lector and catechist, offering her services to God as much as possible.
Suzanne also organizes fundraisers to help build churches in Senegal. With the help of her spouse, she often reaches out to friends and collects donations of clothes, school supplies, and toys. She then packs these donations into large boxes and sends them to families and orphans in Senegal and The Gambia.
Naturally inclined to help others, Suzanne finds joy in assisting people, which in turn helps her overcome her own challenges. She is known for the compassion and empathy she shows to those who seek her help and advice. About two years ago, Suzanne was asked if she had ever considered becoming a life coach, a suggestion that initially made her laugh. However, she soon realized that one cannot ignore such a calling for too long. Ultimately, she decided to pursue life coaching courses and earned her certificates.
