Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Jennifer Lehmann
Since so many people use the library, it is important to employ good manners, so that everyone will be able to enjoy the experience and find what they need. In this age of cell phones and computer catalogs, the standard rules of quiet in a library have had to be modified. This book makes note of new rules, and includes familiar library manners, such as listening quietly during storytime, not eating or drinking while reading a library book, and returning items when they are due. The graphic novel format is engaging and helpful in understanding the consequences of our actions. As this volume does not focus on a classroom experience like the rest of the series, it may not fit as well into a curriculum. It would, though, be valuable to share as this may be information that students are not directly taught. A table of contents, glossary, and index make the text easy to use. "Read More" suggestions and the Facthound website provide opportunities for further exploration. Reviewer: Jennifer Lehmann
