    the truth

This book is about the man of mysteries Charles Manson. In many ways people thought he was a very odd man to be alive. In this book it tells about what has happened in his past. Also talks about the struggles he had gone to before he started the ¿Ranch¿. This story talks about beatings, drinking, and drugs. Also tells about him manipulating others into stealing and holding people to gun point. Charles Watson, Charles Manson, Susan Atkins, and George Spahn men and women that were all a part of a ranch that was very deadly. Charles Manson was a man that was the most dangerous when he was a boy his mother died when he was fourteen years old. So he must have had a lot of anger and hatred in him. When he was fifteen he had gone to jail for steeling a mans car so he got put away for two years. When he got out he got put in an all boys school called Gibault School for Boys. There if he tried to escape he would get hit with a wooden paddle with ten big holes in it. He would get whipped with this paddle thirty one times, usually he would bleed and not be able to sit down in a chair. When he was around thirty he met a man named Charles Watson, he was a man that seem very interested in killing people and listened to everything that Mr. Manson said. Manson would tell him to steel money from the banks down in a small town and he would. Susan Atkins is a women that Manson picked up on the road with a friend and she was a women that loved to smoke dope so she liked Manson a lot. She would usually got to the town down the street and get other women to come to the ranch so that they all could do dope and other illegal drugs. She would also get other men from the town to give her a lot of money so that she cold give it to Charles, so once and a while she would kill a man here and there. George Spahn was Charles Manson's best friend and also the man that owned the ranch and let everyone stay there in the first place. George would tell Charles to have everyone do the things they did for him. So obviously George was the real master mind behind Charles and his sick and twisted acts that he would get through. This passage is important to understanding this passage that I have chosen by learning about very interesting things that are very twisted. Like being whipped by a paddle numerous times, ¿ Mr. Costello was standing over me, then strapped me into that big chair of his. Then he took out that retarded paddle of his then he hit me with it. Finally when I got up my back hurt so much that I couldn't sit in a chair for a week¿. For this passage that I chose, I wanted to learn about an interesting man that made an impact that was huge in a weird way. That was more than just a historian that would be remembered for finding out a new element. I wanted to no about a man that had been known for a hug impact like possession of a hug gun collection, illegal drugs. Also for having a huge killing spree for no reason. I agree with the point in the book that he had a hard like and rebelled from everything so he went off and did horrible things. The book relates to one of my family members that person rebels from people a lot hates to have rules and being told what that person has to do. So that person smokes a lot of weed and does it almost every day. You could say that person has an addiction but it helps that person keep away the pain from the death of that persons father dying.

    INSANE!!!

This was crazy. I thought I knew everyting there was to know about Charles Manson. That's what I get for thinking. This book actually goes inside the mind of a madman. Seriously, it's about time someone lets Charlie tell the story from his side. It does a great job of tearing down the myth that the media created.

Into the World of Charles Manson

This book is a trip. Manson describes his youth, which is one's worst nightmare, and his earlier days in the pen. He tells of his short-lived days as a pimp and how he got a 10-year sentence because of a $37 check he tried to fraudulently cash, which he got paroled after 7 years. The year was sometime in the mid to late 60's. After being in prison for that long, he was baffled by the changes and free-spiritedness that he had plunged into. The Haight-Ashbury district is where it all started. He speaks of how he met the girls and the numerous other people who followed 'The Family' and travelled and lived among them. He tells of how he shot Crowe and about Gary Hinman, but denies he sent the kids to murder for him. He's pretty explicite in his sexual experiences and the acid taking. I'm an avid reader in the beatnik generation and Charles Manson because it's just so interesting. I believe alot of what Charlie states, but he gets you into a mind warp, lures you in to the book. i love this book, i have read it 3 times. But he is a crazy man for sure. This book is well worth the read. Manson will continue on and on and on.....

    False Autobiography

This book is not his true autobiography, while it may contain some facts to it even Charles Manson said the book isn't his autobiography and some of it may have been fabricated by the writter.
