About the Author

Harikrishna Majmundar, himself an 91-year-old immigrant, has advised hundreds of welfare applicants throughout California and has represented many in successful appeals. His key to success is a thorough understanding of the rules, which he studies continuously to stay up-to-date, and a friendly, win-win approach to all situations.
He is the recipient of many awards for his voluntary social work, among them the Toni Sykes Memorial Award for dedica- tion and outstanding service to the community, given by the
Human Relations Commision of Santa Clara County. He also wrote a weekly column for seniors, Suzerain Seniors, in the India Post newspaper.
