About the Author

Angela Dominguez was born in Mexico City, grew up in the great state of Texas, and now resides in San Francisco. She has illustrated four previous books for children, including Ava Tree and the Wishes Three. As a child, she loved reading books and making a mess creating pictures. She's delighted to still be doing both.

Angela Dominguez nació en la Ciudad de México, se crió en el gran estado de Texas, y ahora reside en San Francisco. Ha ilustrado cuatro libros para niños. Cuando era niña, adoraba leer y hacer un desastre mientras creaba imágenes. Y todavía lo disfruta.

Angela Dominguez was born in Mexico City and grew up in North Texas. She now resides on the east coast with her boyfriend, Kyle, and their petite dog, Petunia. She is also the author and illustrator of several books for children including the beloved Stella Díaz and Lolo and Birdie series. She is also a New York Times Bestseller, Sid Fleischman winner, and a two-time Pura Belpré Illustration Honoree.
