This soundtrack is a nice little diversion for its swing tunes, but its real strength is in its original orchestrations. Mark Adler's original somber, heartfelt score offests the upbeat swing music well, and the two provide for a good listening experience overall. The greatest flaw of the CD is that the opening theme--Somewhere Over the Rainbow, performed by Isreal Kamawiwo'ole (I think)--has been replaced with an inferior version by another performer. It can be found on the soundtrack to Meet Joe Black or Finding Forrester instead. Overall, then, it is a good soundtrack, definitely worth tracking down.
