She thought she’d sworn off military men for good…

Sam Kercher is every inch a wickedly hot Marine. Tall. Sexy. Lethal. When his best friends call in a favor, Sam is forced to face an entirely new line of duty—playing nanny for their newly divorced sister and her squirming seven-month-old twin boys. If Sam can dissemble an M16 in his sleep, diaper duty should be a cakewalk…right?

Unfortunately, Operation Nanny isn’t quite that simple. Sheridan has sworn off overbearing military men, so Sam must protect her from her dirtbag ex without revealing just how much he has in common with her brothers. Or that he’s been ordered not to touch her. Ever. Problem is, Sheri’s one hell of a gorgeous woman, capable of making this hard-bodied Marine even harder. And Sam wants her bad.

Protect the girl. Care for the babies. Hide his identity. And keep his hands off. But even the most disciplined Marine has weaknesses...and Sheridan is one Sam might not be able to resist.

    So funny

    ## HILARIOUS. Omg, I found myself laughing so many times throughout this fantastic book. The scene when Sheri is in her bedroom pleasuring herself while Sam is in the kitchen trying to put out a fire had me in stitches. This was a perfect escape read. Let all your problems melt away and enjoy this irresistible story about a beautiful, sassy but slightly quirky heroine and a total hottie Marine. Their chemistry was undeniable. I am so looking forward to Mac's story and I sincerely hope it involves Kelli. She was a hoot and a half. Not only do I highly recommend this book but will also be reading it myself again.

I was stuck between laughing hysterically and snorting in agreem

I was stuck between laughing hysterically and snorting in agreement. Sheri's constant harping about being a "normal mother" hit home. It took having just one kid to realize I was a normal mother, that "normal" is defined by me and my husband, not books or advice columns or anyone in a Mommy and Me club.

I loved that Sam and Sheri knew each other before, even if Sheri's memory of Sam isn't as sharp as his is of her. Their chemistry is amazing, in and out of bed. Sam's role as a nanny to her kids was seamless; I guess having all those nieces and nephews helped him out in a big way, lol.

And I can appreciate Sheri's brother Mac's wanting to protect her from her no-good, cheating ex by hiring Sam to be both nanny and bodyguard. His intentions were good and I can't fault him for that. He's an older brother. In real life, aren't most older brothers the protectors of their younger siblings, especially if they're girls?

Ms. Fenske's written a realistic love story rife with emotions, secrets, family interference, and lessons needing to be learned. But it was all worth it when Sam and Sheri got their happy ending, complete with love, laughter, and dirty diapers.

    I Also Recommend:

In Marine for Hire Tawna Fenske set-up a remarkably entertaining

In Marine for Hire Tawna Fenske set-up a remarkably entertaining tale about a newly divorced mother of two and an undercover marine posing as her manny. Sam Kercher has participated in a lot of missions during his career, but nothing prepared him for Operation Nanny. Mac’s sister's ex-husband is harassing her; so he calls in a favor, enduring she is protected while he is away. Sam knew the day would come that he would regret owning Mac a favor – today is that day. The favor is to watch over Mac’s sister, Sheridan, and her twin sons.
“Just for a couple weeks. I’ll find her a real nanny when Limpdick’s out of the picture. Oh, and there’s one other thing.”

Sam raised his eyebrow, resisting the urge to remind him that just one catch had already morphed into more.

Mac folded his arms over his chest again. “Keep your hands off my sister.”
This is a great pick me up story that is light, humorous and well-balanced. The foreplay and dialogue have this reader looking forward to future stories. I highly recommend this for fans of wickedly, sexy, military men.

Funny, hot, and sexy! A great read that had me laughing. The characters are awesome - so likeable. Who wouldn't want Sam for a manny or Kelli as a BF to "make brownies and drink bourbon and insult penises" with? So looking forward to the next book in the series.

This was a light, easy read and I read it in one sitting. Sam had his hands full with the twins and trying to hide his identity as a Marine from Sheridan. Sheridan is just trying to regroup and get on with her life after her husband cheated on her and is dealing with infant twin boys. It was what you would expect from a romance novel, no surprises at all. Overall an okay read.

    Snooze alert.

This book is fairly boring and too silly. Tried to finish reading at least 4 times, but it never keeps my attention. Pass on this one.

Love Tawna, love romantic comedy, loved this book. Just the right mixture of sweetness, sass and sex. Certain parts had me laughing out loud and though I'm not a mom, certain parts had me really empathizing with Sheri. I mean, who DOESN'T want a hot man, uh, servicing her every need? (I kept picturing Channing Tatum as Sam, but that's just me…)

As I live in Chicago and we are having a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad winter, Marine for Hire providing just the escapism I needed. Thank you, Tawna Fenske, for making my Monday morning commute a whole lot more fun. :)

Tawna Fenske brings her signature funny-side to her latest Marin

Tawna Fenske brings her signature funny-side to her latest Marine for Hire. While the thought of a funny military themed book might seem odd, Fenske easily makes it work. Sam’s attempts to apply his Marine training to being a manny to two seven-month-olds is fun to watch. The immediate sparks between he and Sherri keep the pages turning quickly. This is clearly the start of a series and I can’t wait to see where she goes with it next. Mac and Kelly have sparks to spare and are going to be fun to watch.

Wow this book totally caught me off guard.  I agreed to review this book because I am a total Brazen addict. but I'll admit when I read the blurb I wasn't sure I'd like this book. The whole beefcake manny thing seemed a bit far fetched to me.

But boy did Tawna pull it off.

I totally believed the whole situation and being a new mum myself right now some of the things that go through Sheri's head totally resonated with me. And hmmm Sam was one sexy hot Marine (is there any other kind ;)). I loved the little slices of reality she put in this book.

It was a wonderful read and i look forward to whatever torture Ms Fenske has planned for Mac in the next book.

I don’t normally read romances with children in it. Let’s be honest, it can be a little awkward and distracting when there’s thoughts of hard-ons one minute and children joyfully laughing in the next. So I went into this one with some reservation about there not only being one kid in the mix but two. However, the author did an amazing job incorporating the infants into the story that didn’t make it awkward at all.

There was quite a bit of humor in the story. Right in the beginning you have Sheriden and her friend Kelli hanging out in the kitchen unwinding. Kelli is exactly like me. I have four children, all of which are covered in fur and have four legs. I never received the “mommy gene”. The puking, crying, pooping just sounds like a nightmare. However, scooping crap out of a box and cleaning up regurgitated furballs doesn’t faze me. Yup, Kelli and I are two peas in a pod.

“I love you, Sher. And I’ll gladly hold you hair back if you need to puke in a bathroom toilet on girls’ night. But there’s no way I’m helping you wash diapers.”

The story is written in both Seriden and Sam’s POV. Even if there weren’t a break in between the two, you could clearly tell them apart. Sheriden is worried about not being a good mother while weighing the ramifications of jumping her “manny”. Meanwhile, Sam is reciting Marine jargon and rehashing what to do in combat situations when changing the boys’ diapers. The author did a great job in creating the characters personalities and letting them shine through the pages.

I’d have wished that the author had taken some chances with this story. Right from the synopsis you know how the story ends. Heck, I pretty much knew everything that was going to happen before finishing the first chapter. I won’t go into detail because maybe some of you may be surprised. However, I found this to be a light romantic read that doesn’t make you think to much. I think the only time I really thought about something was when I tried to picture Sheriden beating her ex-husband over the head with a peacock beanie baby.

Like I said, this is a nice light romantic read. Predictable, yes, but still enjoyable. Maybe I’d enjoy Kelli’s story more since I really seemed to gravitate to her personality a lot more. I mean seriously, the chick could be my twin.

    NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4
    REVIEW:
Sam is such an awesome guy who is tortured by his past. But when Sam’s best friend Mac show up and asks him for a favor Sam can’t say no. Not to this mission. Not if it means he gets to get close to Mac’s super hot sister.

Poor Sheri has had a bit of a rough year: twin boys, a cheating husband, a divorce, being a single mom. And now she has to deal with her brother’s idea of a nanny. Who just happens to come in the form of a very very handsome man.

This was a fun book to read. I totally fell in love with Sam from page one. And Sheri is very stubborn yet she worries so much about being a bad mom. These two were really fun to read about the sexual tension between these two was great.

As always Tawna’s story mixes romance, sexy and make you laugh out loud. If you are looking for a fun read I would suggest picking up a copy of Marine For Hire.

Some times 5 stars simply just aren't enough and a book deserves

Some times 5 stars simply just aren't enough and a book deserves more than that....This is a perfect example of this...Marine for Hire is without a doubt one of the funniest books I have ever read. The tears were streaming down my face and I had to stop often as my kindle became blurry. My hubby kept asking me what is so funny and then I would have to stop and tell him....Seriously this is the best "pick me up" book you will ever read....no bad moods after this!!!
This is the hilarious story of Sam. He is a marine who is currently at home on leave. He gets approached by his best friend asking him for a favor. The favor happens to be looking after his best friends sisters 7 month old twin boys and making sure that Sheri is safe from her ex. Only thing is Sheri is not to know he is a marine and acting as her "bodyguard"
Sheri is a single mom who left her douchebag husband after she caught him cheating on her. Now she has a new job that she has to start and she desperately needs a nanny. When her brother offers to find a nanny for her, she leaves it in his care. She certainly did not expect her new "manny" to be a 6 ft hot alpha god....
The results of this unusual union are down right hilarious and will keep you in stitches throughout the book. Being a mother of twins myself I could just picture some of the scenes quite realistically in my head.
I cannot rave enough about this book and I highly encourage you to pick up a copy ASAP and enjoy!!!
