Overview

Have you ever had a dream so real that when you awoke, it didn't leave the recesses of your mind for days? Eve McCormick just did, and this experience will change her life and the lives of those around her permanently. A twenty-six year old hypnotherapist who oversees a research project based on discovering the answer to an age-old question, "Is reincarnation fact or fiction?" must learn to trust a Welsh stranger. An ancient Celtic prophecy and long sought-after revenge entangles the past with the present in the struggle for existence that threatens to destroy her project. A druidess and a shape-shifter must join as one to save the Druid way of life, while a Queen conspires to kill Erin's only High King. Will the oaths and agendas of the past reach across the centuries to strengthen or destroy?

Historically Accurate and Fun to Read As a history buff, I love that Rhonda R Carpenter has done her research. The characters are not only believable but they could be me or you. Whether you believe in reincarnation or not this book is a wonderful step away from reality and is an exciting, fun, intense vacation in your mind. Her blogs aren't bad either. What if you could settle a score from the past? Would you? In The Mark of a Druid what goes around comes around takes on a whole new meaning. I enjoyed the Celtic time frame as much as the present modern time frame. Good plot easy to follow and it is a page Real turner. Carpenter has done a great job of setting up the next book without leaving the reader's need for instant gratification out. Well researched I felt like I was there! The Mark of a Druid was one of the best reads I have experienced in the last year. The author's attention to detail and vivid character and scene development had me doing this book as a two day run. I couldn't get enough. I can't wait for more. I even bought one for my wife on Amazon, and Mrs. Carpenter sent us a singed bookplate for free, making it that much more special. I will never be invited back I took the Mark of a Druid on my vacation to some friends home. I was so engrossing I didn't come out of my room for the entire trip. While I may not be invited back I got read that took me to ancient Celtic times while keeping my feet in the thrilling happenings of now with main character Eve McCormick. Loved the way this work of fiction made me think about if I had lived before and with whom. The next book can't come out fast enough. I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters and I loved the concept of past lives effecting the present and always meeting the people you knew in past lives again and again. It was obvious a lot of work wen't into researching this book and I felt that both the past and the present story really came to life. My only complaint was that I wanted to hear more about the past lives and not as much in the present. This book is definitley worth your time.

The cover grabbed my attention and the pages flew by so fast I was sad to see it end. Glad to hear there will be a sequel. This was a spellbinding story in both time frames and I felt like I learned something by osmosis. Hypnosis is a captivating subject matter and when she tied that to the ancient Celts I was taken captive. Well Done!
