    Wonderful read!!

Hudson has done it again. This story is the fourth book in the Dark Secret Series--and it does not disappoint. The plot twists and turns, revealing a rich new side to many of the characters and the world they live in. The story contains great drama without going over the top. It never gets stale and kept my imterest.

Frankly, I can't believe this author continues to offer her stories at such a low cost. I'd gladly pay more for her books--they are better than others that cost $9.99. Granted she is self-publishing, but I would still expect stories of this caliber to cost at least $4.99.

Pick up the series. I promise you won't be disappointed.

The love story between all the characters has had me hooked on this series from the start and I love Hudson's approach to Vampire history by crossing it with Biblical legends. Mark Of Betrayal is a darker read than the first three but still full of new excitement. Ara's journey isn't a happy one but certainly has its moments.

If you are looking for a complex story with depth that is guaranteed to get your heart and soul going, read this.

I am looking forward to what may come and just can't get enough of this story!

I cannot stand it any more....

I really tried to put up with Ara and her wanton, teenage slut behavior and attitude. She is an insecure little brat who does not have presence of mind to know her own heart. Consequently, she acts like a horny little alley cat. I have read the first three books and have finally had my fill of this screwed up mental little tramp when after reuniting with her husband and making love with him, she immediately offers to have sex with his brother in their dream world. Initially I hoped the storyline would carry and compensate for this seriously immoral little tramp Ara. But the authorhas continually made her mental issues more prominent and prevalent. Because of yhis I can not help but to stop reading book 4 and delete this series before it spirals further to a nasty crash and burn. Normally one would think as a chatacter is developed, that over time, that character learns from his or her trials, tribulations and mistakes and becomes a better person or at least not be a whiny, repititious little brat. She just gets worse and worse. I am out of here.......

    Disappointed

I loved this series, until I read this book. I've grown tired of Ara and her confusion about who she loves. Really wish she hadn't slept with Jason, that completely ruined Aras character. I felt several parts of this book were long winded and filled with usless babbling from Ara. It was hard not to skip pages. The book is titled Mark of Betrayal and yet its only briefly mentioned. I'm really disappointed. ... can't say for sure if I will read the 5th book or not at this point.

If I could give this series zero stars I would.

I don't usually write reviews but this series pissed me off so bad that I had too. This is the worst series I have ever read in my entire life and I have read a lot of books. Ara is a whore, period! She acts so hurt all the time like she didn't do anything wrong. I really wish David would just kill her. She thinks its ok to sleep with anyone including her husbands brother who tried to rape and murder that pays attention to her even though she is married and so "in love" with her husband. She is a whiney little whore who only cares about herself and I do not see any thing good about her. I am going to have to reread one of my good books to get this stupid story out of my head.

I loved the characters, and I'm hooked on the story line. I think I'm starting to be Team Jason. lol. I hate that I have to wait so long in between books to find out what happens. I really like how long the books are. It makes waiting not as bad when there is a long book to tide me over. Well at least for a few days :)

I highly recommend these books and I'm in my lower 30's.

    Ugh....just.....UGH!

Ok, so i havent finished reading this book yet but so far im ready to just strangle Ara....im sick of her childish inconsistencies, im fed up with her inability to mature after enduring so much, and im damn well tired of her lack of common sense. The more i read the more i wish somebody would just off her. No one can go through so much trama and still be an immature indecisive ninny! I mean come on...im not even half way through and im ready to jus call it quits. I hope that she grows up but im not anticipating this....please Ara grow the hell up!!!!! Realize that life does not revolve around you and what you percieve to be right or fair....get it together by the end of this book or i might have to just pass on the last book....

    Hated it!

Ok, first I want to say how much I loved the other books in the series. Loved them! This book so disappointed me that this is the first review I have ever written and I must have over 300 books on my nook from the last year alone
Here is the problem: this book is written to teens and now we have Ara married and she goes and tries to and suceeds in sleeping with two other people in this story! What about the sanctity Of marriage? Why did she have to turn into a slut?
Im not a prude, and I like them racy, but I still believe in true love and being faithful. Is that so wrong?
Im sorry I even read it. Now my whole opinion of the series is tainted.

This book is fantastic!! A. M. Hudson's writing style is amazing, and it draws you in almost immediately. The book is easy to lose yourself in, and to forget that there is any world besides Ara's world. I highly recommend this book (entire series, actually), but it does have some adult-oriented content, and probably shouldn't be read by anyone under 17. Also, you should definitely have read the first three books before reading this one, otherwise you will be lost and have no clue as to what is going on. There are so many surprises in Mark of Betrayal, it is an emotional roller coaster! There are a couple scenes where tissues are required, also. I love Mark of Betrayal, I love the Dark Secrets series, and I love A. M. Hudson!

    This Book Is So So..

Okay so this book really made me hate Ara. She made dumb decisions & was always pouting & throwing tantrums. Its time for her to grow up your 19, grown, married & a queen but she did not behave like it through out this book. She really betrayed David & even if he could I can never forgive her. I find her to be absolutely disgusting after reading this book. This book was really slow & boring for the first 12 chapters. It took me forever to finish this book when it should've took no more than 2 days. It was to boring to focus & didn't start to get good until chapter 13. I really don't get why she loves Jason after he beat her ass, tortured her & beat Emily's ass too. I get he was compelled to torture her, but what about the ball she was still human then & he beat her for something she had absolutely nothing to do with it. But she still loves him after all this & he has been nothing but conniving binding her mind to make her love him & Mike. I think she its the biggest fool for trusting him, a bigger dummy for loving him & a disgusting slut for what she did with him. I wouldn't really recommend this book its not as good as the first three being how it didn't get good until chapter 13 for me.

Ara will drive you crazy with her stupid choices (she is a teenager) and disrespect for marriage; although she tries to be so right all the time. David should have left her in the water under the cliffs - and probably would have if he knew about Jason and Arthur's turkey baster.
