    Wonderful Christmas Story for Teens

This book captures the life of young Joseph before he met Mary, as he struggled with the standard to do his 'best' work to satisfy his father. It also captures Mary and Joseph as they become entwined in an unexpected pregnancy and must trust in God. The biggest message, however, is how Joseph learns that doing your best in all things, no matter how little, end up making you who you are. A great read! I used this for a read aloud to junior high in our library.

    A Christmas Tradition

Our family received this book as a Christmas gift from friends several years ago. We have made a tradition of reading it out loud during the holiday season. Most of the children are in their teens and past but they still enjoy a good story, especially about Joseph, Mary and Jesus. The book allows us to step into the lives of the people who lived the nativity. Little is told of Joseph in the Bible. However, by the end of the story, we know Joseph as the human being that he was and his roles as son, friend, husband and father. We also learn along with Joseph an invaluable lesson in life.
