    truely amazing

I bought this book in 5th grade long ago because i was interested in animal behavior and also in the gore of the attacks. I found a book that sated both those hungers. the actual accounts of the attacks are few and far between which makes the book a little dry at first but then once things start rolling it is truly a great read for anyone. just remember that there is a lot of detail to the scenes.

    Made me more aware!!

I bought this book at the visitor's center in Glacier National Park. I had very little knowledge of grizzly bears, but this book opened my eyes. I read it every night in my hotel room... couldn't put it down. It made me more aware the next day when I went hiking in the park... I actually didn't hike far because I wasn't prepared for bear territory. One thing is for sure... you are definitely more alive and your senses are more aware in bear territory.

    Excellent Read!

The first time I read this book, I could not put it down! As with the second time too! I purchased this book because I have a fascination with bears and now I have a deep appreciation for their unbelievable power and for the role they play in this world. I can't imagine being a victim of a bear attack. I have passed this book on to many friends, which in turn have bought a copy for their own library. Read it! It is incredible!

    Powerful and riveting stories

It takes a skilled writer to keep me so absorbed in a book. I applaud McMillion for knowing the right bear book hadn¿t been written yet and that he could do it. I also appreciate the knowledge I picked up about bear behavior ¿ never look `em in the eye!
