A very enjoyable LGBT-themed short story. Definitely a coming-of-age tale of a young British teen discovering the love of his life, outside of his mother's store. Great story, but it left me wanting more.

A really odd but cute short story. Sometimes in life we have to decide to be authentic to ourselves or to do what is safe... missing out on a rare once in a lifetime kind of moments.

If you stick with the story, it will turn out to be a really good story. I do agree that it needs an epilogue, but that is just my opinion and maybe your imagination is better. I also loved the setting, as I could relate to it even though it is set in England and I live in America.

Overview
Michael's still uncertain about his sexuality, surrounded at school by unfeasibly confident girls and bullying macho boys he feels utterly alone. When, helping his mother on her charity stall, he spots a young Romanian busker, he's struck by someone who appears even worse off, or is he? Could it be that this enigmatic young musician holds the key to Michael's future?
