Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Jillian Hurst
If only dogs could talk! Marley is always trying to help his family, but all he seems to do is cause trouble. They got mad when he tried to get Baby out of the crib, they scolded when he ate the pancakes, and they yelled when he pulled all the clothes out of the drawers. Marley figured running away would solve all of the problems he was causing. When he smelled the sweet smells of the town bakery, the baker took him in and called Marley's family to come get him. Little did the baker know, a puppy should never be left alone with all those cookies! In this title from the "I Can Read" series, young readers can practice their reading and comprehension skills with this story of Marley and his family. Declared a "high-interest story for developing readers," this story, based on John Grogan's bestselling books, is enhanced with charming illustrations of lovable Marley. Reviewer: Jillian Hurst
