    very humorous book

    ***Maddie Brannigan and Clay James have been bitter rivals since childhood. Despite that, it¿s clear to Clay¿s family that the two of them belong together. The family devises a plan to strand Maddie and Clay at a secluded mountain cabin. The hope is that during a week¿s time they will work through their differences and admit their true feelings for each other. Indeed, Maddie and Clay each come to realize that they¿re in love with the other--of course, they¿ll never admit it. After they return, Maddie discovers she¿s pregnant, and Clay is determined to marry her. When she refuses, he sets out to change her mind. Fortunately, he knows just the way to do that, thanks to a conversation they¿d shared in which Maddie had given him specific details about what it would take to win her heart.*** Maddie and Clay do spend way too much time bickering with each other, and after a while the reader¿s saying, ¿Enough already!¿. However, the book is well written, extremely humorous through out, and (despite the bickering) I loved the characters. I found this at a used bookstore, and I¿m so glad I picked it up. It¿s definitely going on my `keeper shelf¿.
