Overview

Fame-something many people long for, but very few ever achieve.
Millions have dreamed of being surrounded by adoring fans, touring the globe, and making the big money. But as we discover in this book, living the high life sometimes is not all it's cracked up to be. Married To A Rock Star chronicles the challenges and successes of Shemane Nugent, the woman married to one of rock 'n roll's legendary guitarists, Ted Nugent.
Throughout their relationship, they have had to deal with the hardships that go hand in hand with being famous. Shemane Nugent presents the truth about the unique conflicts that celebrity couples face, and what really threatens to tear apart the bonds that unite them.
Married To A Rock Star will enlighten you about what takes place behind the scenes of a rock star's mythical life, both on and off the stage. Unlike other celebrity marriages, this couple has managed to persevere. Partly because of the challenges they've had to overcome along the way, their affection for each other has been renewed and strengthened. Meet the Author

SHEMANE NUGENT--at first glance--a stylish, blue-eyed blond who is as much at home shopping Neiman Marcus in a pinstriped suit as she is riding motorcycles with her son-looks more like a soccer mom than the wife of rock legend Ted Nugent. In fact, she's both. Shemane manages a multimillion-dollar financial empire, has appeared on numerous television shows including Entertainment Tonight, VH1, and Access Hollywood, and has been interviewed by Howard Stern, Hannity & Colmes, and Greta Van Susteren, among others. Shemane also produces, edits, and cohosts the award-winning Ted Nugent Spirit of the Wild TV show. Together, the Nugents have written a best-selling wild game cookbook, Kill It & Grill It. Ted and Shemane have four children and two grandchildren. They live in Michigan.

    Married to a Rock Star

What an inspirational piece of work Shemane Nugent has poured out! This is highly recommended reading, ESPECIALLY for anyone who is marriage-minded, male or female. To trust is to love. Sometimes you love, and your heart is broken; love anyway. That¿s just what the author did. She put her family¿s needs before her own emotions; when the man she gave her heart to broke her heart, she courageously loved on anyway. She was determined to make her marriage work despite the super fast-paced &, more often than not, insane world that clenched its cold fist around it. The Nugents traveled an all too common road in America today, but the ending is one you need to read about! It¿s tragic & uplifting, but more uplifting than tragic! There¿s a message here for everyone who is about to embark on the journey of a lifetime commitment, for those who have already boarded the train, and for those who have entered the pitch black tunnel. Keep on track, there is light around the bend. If you¿re in a similar situation that Shemane has written about, then you just may find understanding & hope in these pages. For many people, one day, the world will come crashing down on their bliss. When that happens, remember that all that is left that matters is all that ever really mattered from the very beginning: love. In ¿Married to a Rock Star,¿ Shemane illustrates this well. If Ted & Shemane can make it work in the stormy world of rock-n-roll, then chances are that you can too. All of America needs to read this book!
