Much more than light & fluffy marshmallows...

I selected this book because I think the concept is exceptional. Teach children, early on, about the value of money and saving. So many parents have financial difficulties and live beyond their means that I wonder about how the next generation will treat money. This book is delightful, the illustrations are sweet and Zoe and Eva are adorable. They reacted just like every small child would. So I think other children will be able to relate. The other message I love is that the girls are given the ability to choose and make a decision. Mom & Dad never suggest that the decision is a poor one - they let the girls decide for themselves. I bought a few to give as gifts but I'm thinking of buying one for a coffee table book and maybe some of my adult friends will get the message too!

We live in a society where we want to have it all right now. We are a society in great debt because we are not thinking of the price we will pay down the road. This book is a great example of teaching children the importance of money and hard work and having patience which brings a great reward. This book isn't just for teaching children I think it's more for the parents to read first and then by example teach their children. It's a great read and a great investment
