As a single adult, I am constantly searching for precisely this type of manual, and indeed, it is a manual for flavorful, quick meals. It is divided by season, which is very helpful: I buy produce from local farmers and this format simplifies meal planning and provides inspiration for the coming months. I have made several of these recipes and they work (the citrus vinaigrette has become a staple). As with all of the work that comes from her studios, the concise instructions, comfortable editiorial tone, excellent art direction, and beautiful photography make this a permanent kitchen island companion. I highly recommend this book for those who wish to simplify their approach to cooking: Stewart includes several Japanese inspired meals that will delight and inspire.Was this review helpful?
