this is a great history of the marvel comics universe. covers a great portion of the history of marvel and character appearances. this is a must have for the comic book collector.

the lithos in the front pocket are very nice as well, along with the silk page marker built right in.

the book cover was too heavy for the binding, which was crushed a bit in shipping. if you take the book out of the decorative box, the actual book isn't very attractive. i bought it as a gift for someone, so it was a bit of a disappointment in that respect. i think my husband likes the actual book.

A special gift for our daughter's boyfriend - he's a big fan and collector - and he loved it!

I ordered the Marvel Chronicle on line before Christmas. I was told that I would receive the book in about a week. I did get the book on time, but it was in horrible shape. The cover was almost hanging off the book. The cover looked like it had been in a kindergarden class for years. The book looked USED. I was not going to give this book as a gift in this kind of shape. I took the book to several Barnes and Noble stores in my area. Every store had this book, but in the same condition. I returned the book, and asked for a better book to be sent to me. They wanted me to pay for the book again. I had already paid for the book. Had so much trouble with RETURNS, that I just cancelled the book alltogether. So that person on my Christmas list did not get a present. I WILL NEVER ORDER ON LINE FROM BARNES AND NOBLE AGAIN.
