Mary Riggs, the author's wife, is a "direct relationship" to me. This book is an exciting example of the type of life a missionary's family would have to withstand in the northern mid west. Indians, no roads, no utilities, nothing that we know of today. Quite an awakening. An excellent resource in documenting genealogy.
