Book Description

Mary Worthington is a widow, or at least she thought so. A former Navy SEALs wife, Mary has a difficult time accepting the fact that her husband isn’t coming home. Without a body to bury or witnesses to explain what happened to Lieutenant Lucas Worthington, there’s no way Mary can put the past behind her until someone provides her with the truth about her husband’s final hours.

Six months after Luke’s so-called death, Mary meets Brock Taylor, a hardcore ladies’ man dedicated to the Marines and sharing himself with any woman who wants a piece of one. But his life is about to change and he’s ready and willing to embrace those changes as well as the woman behind them.

Mary and Brock fall in love, plan a wedding, and well, things could’ve been headed toward a happily-ever-after ending except after Brock finally wins Mary’s hand, her missing husband reappears. And Mary isn’t sure she can give up one man in exchange for another.

Meet the Author

Destiny Blaine began her writing career as a ghost writer. Accustomed to working in the shadows, it's really no surprise to find her writing is often classified under the paranormal genre. She particularly loves writing about fang-bangers and leans toward creating sexy-hot alpha males ready to dominate the world and the women they love.

Known for and expected to write in all genres, Destiny collects book ideas and explains, "Plot ideas come to me at a speed I'll never control which is a double-edged sword. Time will eventually run out before these stories are fully developed, but at least there will never be a shortage of ideas."

Destiny lives in East Tennessee with her husband and their two children. Their extended family consists of teenagers they literally pluck from their homes when they're headed out of town. Destiny says, "We enjoy professional football games, beaches, and music festivals. Most of the time, we travel with a crowd. These teenagers enrich our lives. Over the years I've come to think of them as 'my' kids. Best of all, these young people feel completely free to speak their minds and I often have a pen handy when they do. They've been known to provide plenty of dialogue for developing characters!"

Currently, Destiny Blaine and her pseudonyms are best selling international e-book and trade paperback authors.

It was alright. The author is definitely talented in bringing the reader to feel the characters' emotions, but the love scenes were lacking for me. I don't read short stories for the depth of the plot, so I expected more heat in the bedroom. . . If you're used to steamier love scenes, stick with Lora Leigh or Cat Johnson.

Firstly, don't be put off by the title, it doesn't do the book justice and you will miss out on a "little gem".  Yes, Mary had a problem and it was certainly not a little one!  This short story was a delight to read and I wish it was longer, but that is being selfish on my part.  I don't do spoilers, but with lines like - "So we can stand around and pretend there's nothing happening here, or we can get the sex out of the way and go from there" or even better "you should've thought of that before you spread your legs for a man who likes being between them.  Because now that I've visited there, I feel right at home and plan to be there often" - you can see the journey this very talented author (who excels at writing ménage romances) is going to take you on.  I thought the storyline was original, unique and feasible?.  Well, perhaps not the ménage aspect, but with all the wars going on all over the world, falling in love with another man, thinking your husband died for his country and then him suddenly returning - what a dilemma!  what do you do?  read this book and see how this author solves "this little problem"!  Highly enjoyable and definitely a re-read for me, no hesitation is giving this book 5*s
