Just as good as his hiking guides

I had bought Adkins' 50 Hikes in Maryland, so I thought I would give his travel guide a try. He's done it again. This is not a typical travel guide. The guy visited every place he writes about, and he gives you a straight forward description of what he found--often in an entertaining and amusing way. Everything you can imagine is covered here from museums and historic sites to B&Bs, motels, and inns to hiking, biking, canoeing, antique shops, and special annual events. He even tells you about miniature golf courses, amusement parks, guided walking tours, sailing schools, and narrated boat trips. I've looked at many other travel guides through the years and this is one of the best. Get this book and you could spend a decade trying to visit and do all of the things he tells you about.
