I have read this book each year to a 2nd grade parochial school class since it was first published. The children love the story and the pictures. Even the teacher and the aides gather around - the adults getting something special each year from the book, as well. Children especially relate to the idea of mother telling the story of when a child was born - each child can share their own family stories about their own "birth" days.

Amazing illustrations! I enjoyed the story as much as my little ones did. This story brought you into the heart of Mary as she teaches her Son about how He came into the world. I recommend it for every family who wants to teach the real reason for Christmas.
