I had the pleasure to come accross this rare book at an out of print dealer in my area some months ago. Being a Crominology major, I collect books on serial killers/forensics. This book was HARD to find but, at last I did. It is an incredible account of true crime that anyone interested in the topic would find invalueable. Levin/Fox paint the true horrific picture of serial murder becoming a real American problem that is only escalating. Of particular interest is the Foreward by F. Lee Bailey, the attorney who defended Albert DeSalvo ( The Boston Strangler ). I'm fortunate to own a 1st edition hardcover copy. The study IS worth the effort it may take to find.
