    Great buy !!!!!

    This book is, without question, a 'one-stop-shop' for anyone who is interested in learning more about biological mass spectrometry at all levels. It is written in language to appease all readers, from the simple college student who encountered the term mass spectrometry in class to the expert mass spectrometrist who employs these tools from day to day. Eventhough I have worked in the field and do consider myself to be well read, I have learned quite alot from this book. Unlike other available books in the field, Kaltashov and Eyles did a spectacular job of bringing together pertinent historical information and background with theory, and a discussion of the present-day uses of mass spectrometry and an outlook on the future of mass spectrometry in biophysics. The text also wonderfully reflects how mass spectrometry can be complementary to other biophysical techniques. I highly recommend this text!
