Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Denise Daley
The fasted man on earth is a super hero known as the Flash. In this action packed story the Flash tries to capture the Mirror Master. The Mirror Master is a villain who can use any mirror as a portal to enter the Mirror Dimension. While in the Mirror Dimension the Mirror Master can make duplicates of his own reflection. The duplicates rob banks and jewelry stores but the Mirror Master will not be satisfied until he is king of the world. Flash's speed is always useful, but will it be enough to stop the Mirror Master and to rescue the beautiful princess that the Mirror Master has kidnapped and imprisoned? Young readers will enjoy the action and suspense, but they may struggle with some of the challenging vocabulary. This is not a graphic novel, but rather, a chapter book with a handful of color illustrations. While the super hero concept will appeal to many, the format may not be what is expected. This book is part of the "Super DC Heroes" series. Reviewer: Denise Daley
