this book is making me so mad

At this point in time i am only trying to study the four basic parts of the book. ITs not going to well. It provides basic math add and sub etc and fractions but then it throws in algebra and it doesnt explain it very well. in the review part of the book it doesnt show you how to do it but it gives you qustions and in the answers it doesnt explain how it does it. in the review it gives you only one example which is very difficult if there was two altleast you could some how figure it out. i chose this book because of the vocab but the math seems to be the hardest part. i wouldnt recomend this book to anyone who hasnt taken calsses in algebra or doesnt remember how to do it. im going to go back to barnes and nobles and look at some of the other books and i will post back on this page about a better book to choose.

it seems what some people don't understand is, these asvab study

it seems what some people don't understand is, these asvab study books are meant to prepare you for the exam by giving you an *idea* on what type of questions you'll be asked and how. they do not give you the actual *knowledge* to answer them. that's what you were supposed to have learned in school. that's the whole idea of the exam; to determine what you actually know and see if you have the ability to apply that knowledge to answer the questions. if you're really serious about doing well on the asvab, go back to school/college and take some courses in math, english/reading comprehension, and sciences. basically, the more you know, the better you'll do. but, if you're going to go back to school, you may want to just consider on getting a full degree. then, if you still decide to join the military, you can go in as an officer. vs. enlisted =]
