This book is too synthesized, lack A LOT of information crucial for step that you can only learn (by far) with the usmleworld qbank practice questioins. Sometimes this books make you feel you are preparing fro step 2 CK rather than step 3. Limiting a treatment plan for a ABPA to "Corticosteroids" in one line is not enough fro step 3. We need NAME of the drug (for both CCS and questions), ROUTE of administration, FREQUENCY and WHEN TO STOP the drug. That's step 3!! Knowledge wise, step 2 CK and step 3 are very similar, but the projection is different. Step 3 need more than just the clinical knowledge but how you actually handle the patient in the outpatient and inpatient setting. It seems like the author got too comfortable synthethizing, making jokes and being the funny guy. Sometimes you feel like you are having a conversation with Fisher rather than learning something. I would say that this book is the worst f the MTB series. Even thought still some quite uselful for step 3, I wouldn't recommend to limit your preparation only to this book. Compliment with UWorld qbank practice questions, they will compensate the content this book is lacking big time! I just took the test I can tell the difference. UWorld is the key for this test!
