Editorial Reviews

THE MOUNTAIN CLIMBER
I was quite surprised at the impact the book had on me... This book is just what we need! [It is]... user-friendly, based on sound, research-based techniques, yet also addresses emotional issues such as loss, and unresolved grief or anger (something we find hard to release)... Dr. Beckfield truly understands the agony and struggle that her clients and readers experience... excellent book.
WILSON LIBRARY JOURNAL
..Dr. Beckfield clearly understands this exquisitely uncomfortable disorder....

    Encouraging...

Written in understandable language, the book helped me see the "Why" behind my panic by working through several exercises. Most of the tactics presented to help when panic arises are useful. There is encouragement throughout the book.

    Master your panic scared me

I feel the author is very professional but she immediately gets into exercises to challange panic attacks like intentionally creating one and trying to stop it!! for anyone who has had a panic attack, that is the last thing you want to do!! I didn't feel there were enough help stategies, just possible reasons why a person may have panic disorder.
