He wants to dominate her senses—and her heart…

Quinton Ross has always been a thrill-seeker—so it’s no surprise that he’s drawn to extremes in the bedroom and at his BDSM club, Blasphemy, where he creates sense-depriving scenarios that blow submissives’ minds. Now if he could just find one who needs the rush as much as him…

When an accident leaves Cassia Locke with a paralyzing fear of the dark, she’ll try anything to get help. Ready to fight, she knows just who to ask for help—the hard-bodied, funny-as-hell Dom she’d always crushed on—and once stood up.

Quinton is shocked and a little leery to see Cassia, but he can’t pass up the chance to dominate the alluring little sub this time. Introducing her to sensory deprivation becomes his new favorite obsession, and watching her fight fear is its own thrill. But when doubt threatens to send her running again, Quinton must find a way to master her senses—and her heart.

Wow, book 2 just blew me away. This story gives us Master Quinton who we met in the previous book. He is a Master Dom at Blasphemy. Cassia isn't new to Blasphemy, but she hasn't been there in a long while. Quinton went running to one of the rooms in their club and who does he find on the floor shaking beyond belief? A sub who had enjoyed some time ago. Where had she been? And what was happening now? This is one super sexy book, these two don't want anything outside of the club, but life always takes turns and sometimes there are exactly the right ones. I really enjoyed this story in the series, and I am eagerly awaiting the next.

I was a bit unsure of how I was going to like Mastering Her Senses. I usually prefer my alpha male protagonists to be pretty serious. However, I should not have doubted Laura Kaye because she has never let me down!! I really enjoyed this book. With Master Quinton Kaye struck a perfect balance between lighthearted banter and some seriously sexy moments. Quinton works very hard at running the food and drink aspect at Blasphemy, which only means that he plays that much harder when he steps out from behind the bar. His specialty is sensory deprivation and he uses his many talents to help Cassia, a woman who stood him up two years ago. And Cassia was a wonderful match for Quinton. As in all of Kaye’s books, she writes interesting, strong and intelligent leading females. Cassia is a geologist that suffered a horrific accident while exploring a cave and needs Master Quinton to help her to overcome her fears. And Quinton does just that with patience and great care. When detailing the methods that he uses to help Cassia it becomes very apparent that Kaye has done some thorough research when it comes to the BDSM lifestyle. (I would LOVE to get a gander at that woman’s Google history!). Kaye is very thorough and is so unbelievably descriptive that I often felt like a voyeur when reading the dungeon scenes. The only issue I had with the book is that I wish that it was longer. When the novels are this short I often feel like the relationship is a bit rushed so that it can reach it’s happy ending by the last page. I really wanted more background on both of the main characters and more scenes outside of the club to build on the simmering connection between Quinton and Cassia. Finally, I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the crossover to the Raven Rider world. I freaking love that series and it was great to see Jagger and Dare. It made me want to do a re-read of Ride Hard before Ride Rough comes out!

The Blasphemy series is a genius idea. Not only does Laura Kaye push the boundaries in her sensory overloaded stories, hidden inside of all the sensuality and heated exchanges is a valuable lesson. A person is only as weak as they allow themselves to be. Mastering Her Senses blends facing fears head on with discovering the power of inner strength. Cassia is so focused on her own fears that she doesn't realize that her tainted warrior of the night, has some demons of his own to stare down. Leave it to Ms. Kaye, her wounded warriors and broken princesses to take addictive to a whole new level.
