This book is so helpful and useful. It covers everything from the history to advanced tricks (that I would never try, but it's cool they are included). I've been snowboarding for years, but "Mastering Snowboarding" taught me so many little things I never knew about finding the right equipment and learning simple tricks I've always wanted to do. It would be a great book for instructors as well as beginner and advanced riders as it covers so many aspects of the sport.

I recently bought two books off this site and I love both of them. "Sammy The Shredder" is great for young children to introduce them to the basics of snowboarding! It has great animated illustrations and is very reader friendly for children and adults. Yes I read it! I also purchased "Mastering Snowboarding" and it has very good information whether you are a beginner or a long time snowboarder! There are many tricks to be learned and they are well diagrammed. Again this book is very user friendly, and takes you step by step on how to improve your snowboarding skills. I highly reccomend this book for the novice snownboarder or the expert snowboarder! The authors are very well connected to the ultimate snowboarding experience.

This book really gets down to the important fundamentals of snowboarding. It also provides some great background to really understand the sport. It is clear that the author knows what she's talking about and makes it fun and easy to read. I'd definitely recommend this book for all level riders.

I have been looking for a book like this! Soo excited!! I got it for Christmas and am already learning so much. I can't wait to go test my skills next month in Utah with the fam. The only books related to learning how to snowboard were very outdated. This is 200+ pages of useful, insightful and good information with tons of photos and great facts.

Mastering Snowboarding by Hannah Teter is a well composed book on snowboarding. If you really want to know everything there is to know about snowboarding this is the book for you. The author really knows what she is talking about. Hannah goes in depth on the history, how to find the right gear, the rules of the mountain, how to get started, tricks, and competitive riding. I really enjoyed the little tips and helpful information that are in this book. I also like how the author is a professional snowboarder and an Olympian who has won gold and silver medals. The action pictures and diagrams are extremely helpful when attempting new tricks. One of the major messages in this book is snowboarding is all about progression. It is about getting up after falling down and trying again. You don’t want to push yourself too hard when you are learning or else you will have a bad time. A major theme in this book is that snowboarding is tuff and will make you a tuff person. Snowboarding is physically exhausting and the cold mountains are unforgiving. There is nothing that I dislike about this book. People who are interested in learning more about snowboarding should read this book to give themselves key insight on this adrenaline packed sport.
