Susan has made a book that is easy to understand and simple to use. The book is well organized in a step- by -step basis. A great book to grasp the basics of photography!

This gem of a book not only contains all the basics a beginner needs to get started, but actually goes much further. Fundamentals of equipment and composition are supplemented by a series of self-assignments where photographers learn by doing. It¿s also packed with practical tips such as how to shoot in rain and snow, using slow shutter speeds to simulate motion, breaking down barriers between photographer and subjects, and creative techniques for using flash on and off-camera. If I were looking for a basic text that would also move me into more advanced photography, this would be the one.
