Master's Flameby Annabel Joseph
In the sexually charged world of Cirque du Monde, CEO Michel Lemaitre reigns as king of depravity. He's a stringent, brutal Master who selects his slaves based on their ability to cope with strict handling and pain. He exerts rigid control over his chosen partners and they submit to him in all things-that is, until fiery Italian acrobat Valentina Sancia enters his life.
Valentina's known as La Vampa, the flame of Napoli, and her tempestuous personality and wild libido soar as high as her circus tricks. To his chagrin, she wants nothing more than to be his slave. Michel finds himself drawn to the red-headed firebrand even as he tries his hardest to resist her. It doesn't help that the sensual beauty idolizes him and tempts him at every turn. He finally engages her in a one-month, no-holds-barred Master-slave relationship to prove their incompatibility.
And that's when the circus really begins.
The two become wrapped up in bondage, cages, physical ordeals...and an emotionally fraught battle of wills. He's never had a slave burn so bright, and Valentina's heart is set on pleasing her Master, no matter the torment and trials she must endure. Is there such a thing as too much passion? Michel's convinced there is, and he's determined to tame a billowing love on the verge of blazing out of control.

Annabel Josep’s MASTER’S FLAME completes the Cirque series with a flaming ribbon and bow. The Master meets his match and his reward with Valentina. “Mystery and love, and fire.” The excerpt sums up the story. Michael Lemaitre continues his transition as a father (as revealed in the previous Cirque book BOUND IN BLUE) to lover. He continues his life’s journey in finding his true match in love. I am trying to find words to explain why I rate this book so highly. The truth is that I love the entire series and find the same qualities in each of the book. The story just gets more satisfying as each person’s story is told. I have enjoyed this entire series because the characters/people are so real. Different and uniques and complete as a individual people. I can see Michel, Jason, Sara, or Valentina walking the streets of Paris, or Marseilles. I can visualize the Cirque performances. The scenes at The Club are off the chart and make you tingly. The book is rich in details and emotions. It captures the essence of what makes life real. Emotions, yearnings, self-discovery, success, failure, and resolution challenges. The setting of a Cirque du Soleil like background makes it exotic and an apt setting for the unique people who share their story with us. The intensity of the relationships makes me read, and re-read the books. I like the alpha males, and the feminine women. Ying and yang. You could read any of these books as stand alone. There are no cliffhangers and the endings are VERY satisfying. But, read them all and you will just increase the pleasure of the experience. I don’t feel like I have done justice to the book with my review. Bottom line. I loved it.
Great story infused with sex!
