BOOK THREE:THE DIAMONDBACK RANCH SERIES/When Austin McCade’s wife dies, a vital part of him dies, too. The sexy single dad devotes himself to his motherless daughter and his work on the Diamondback Ranch. For twelve years, he ignores life and women . . . until a new pretty schoolteacher moves to town.

From the moment Theresa Rogers arrives in Salt Fork, Texas, people warn her about the lonely widower. He’s a hopeless case, a lost cause. But Theresa sees beneath the crusty exterior of the man to the deep emotions and his enduring loyalty. Can she pierce the impenetrable wall surrounding his broken heart? Will she be able to vanquish the ghost who keeps him from loving again?

EXCERPT:

Theresa cleared her throat. "Um, would you like to come in? There's coffee. It's fresh."

He shouldn't stay. He should get the hell out of Dodge. "Sure, why not." Removing his Stetson, Austin stepped across the threshold, brushing against her as he passed. The heat from her body nearly scorched him.

She closed the door and stood with her hand on the knob, facing him. She bit her bottom lip, worrying it with her teeth.

Austin wondered if she regretted inviting him in. Had it been on impulse? Did she realize how attractive and appealing he found her? Did she know she was playing with fire?

He was fast losing the battle raging inside of himself. He wanted this woman. He didn't want to think of the reasons he should keep his hands off her. He was a man. She was a woman. A very desirable woman.

Moving closer, he stared down at her and tipped her chin up. "I don't think either of us really wants coffee."

"What do you want?" Her voice sounded husky. Reminding him of darkened rooms, fluffy pillows.

Austin pulled her into his arms. "Only this." He took her mouth in a searing kiss . . .

ABOUT THIS BOOK:

THE DIAMONDBACK RANCH SERIES
by Anne Marie Novark

Book One:  The Doctor Wears a Stetson
Book Two:  The Cowboy's Surrender
Book Three:  A Match Made in Texas

A Match Made in Texas is the third book in my Diamondback Ranch Series featuring the four McCade brothers--Dallas, Cameron, Austin, and Tyler--and their sister, Tori. I set the books in the rugged ranch land of the Texas Panhandle where I visited my grandparents on their farm every summer as a kid growing up. They're gone now, but the memories live on.

Remember: Life's too short NOT to love a Texan!

I read the 3 books in this series.Honestly if you have read one you have read them all. Guess I'm a sucker. Just figured I might as well read them all. The first one is okay, but then the other 2 are pretty much the same. Only difference is another cowboy .

847 pages of sweet, hot, passionate tension

Loved book 3 of The Diamondback Ranch series. Austin and Theresa's story was filled with just as much of that sweet sexual tension as the first two. Since we have had the pleasure of reading about the McCade family through Cameron, Dallas, and now Austin's story, I sure hope we don't have to wait long for Tyler's and Tori's, the only female, story of love finally found.

    It was okay

I guess why I didnt give this five starts is because the lady is such a push over, the guy pretty much calls her a harlot anc te next day she says lets make love. What kind of crap is tht now Im not a grudge holder at all be come on that is abuse and its stupid to be okay after wards.

    Good Book

Loved the story line. Disliked the over use of the word tummy. Would recommend. Good strong male and female lead. Couldn't put it down!

    Book Three was also Good

This book is filled with great romance, a few subplots, drama and great characters. I'm really hoping that this author continues the series. There are several characters that need to have their stories told! I like books that are happy and uplifting to read in today's world of doom and gloom. Read all three in the series!
