Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Each page-spread of this airplane-shaped board book features an illustration of an airplane or airport scene and a question about it. Children solve the riddle by selecting one of seven puzzle pieces to fit into the space provided. For example, the riddle on the first page asks what piece of equipment tells Blue Plane when it's time for takeoff. The answer to this question, a control tower, is pictured on the facing page under a space for children to fit the matching control tower puzzle piece. Children learn some airport and airplane terminology while they develop motor skills by manipulating the puzzle pieces. This interactive board book is a perfect companion on car and airplane trips. There is a plastic compartment to store the puzzle pieces built into the book. The only complaint is that the puzzle pieces do not actually stay in their slots, like true puzzle pieces would. After a child places the correct item in its space, he cannot leave it there without risking losing it if he moves the book around.
