Alexandra Hinkle has a secret, one that's kept her alone for most of her life. She's a werecat, a rare shape shifter whose body has the ability to transform into a sleek feline. That's probably why she had no problem just pulling up stakes and moving half way across the country to the small mountain city of Red Cliff, Colorado.
The town boasts a population of a whopping two hundred and eighty nine, or 290 now that Alexandra has accepted the transfer to become the onsite representative for United States Geological Survey, a job which amounts to her hiking up and down the mountain to review current mapping and acting as liaison between the USGS and the Colorado Department of Education. Figuring she's found the perfect place to hide out for the rest of her life without anyone being the wiser of her special condition, she attempts to settle into her new life. However, things aren't as unassuming in Red Cliff as they first appear. For one thing, someone seems to be attempting to keep her far from Eagle's Pass and out of town, so much so that they don’t mind arranging a few accidents. Then there's the fact she's faced with one of the ultra sexy Hyatt brothers at every turn. It's a major distraction to say the least.
The Hyatt brothers have called Red Cliff home since they were kits, and the town folk have always watched out for the troublesome threesome despite their unique abilities to become ferocious mountain lions. The three are the last remaining members of their family and direct decedents to the original mining camp settlers of the Eagle Valley. When they cross paths with the town's newest occupant, they're instantly attracted to the fiery red head and not just because she has a body built for sin. Now that they can see the means to keep their blood line alive, how can they convince the elusive Alexandra to answer their Mate Call? And how do they put a stop to all the trouble that seems to surround the town and Alexandra at every turn?
