When a wolf with a whisper of secrets is forced to work with her in order to protect their people, she finds she might not be so alone after all.
The world knows more than they ever have before about those shrouded in darkness, while Ryder and Leah are thrust into the center of a conflict they never should have been part of to begin with. On their journey they must not only fight those against them, but the burning temptation that is flaring between them. Fate might have paved their path, but that doesn't mean they have to follow.

Loved this book. Can't wait for the next one.
Great story. I didn't want it to end. Now I must wait impatiently for the next.
I loved this book. Ryder and Leah are a force to be reckoned with.
Mated In Mist is a suspenseful and intricately crafted story that had me on the edge of my seat from the very first page. Ryder and Leah were fantastic characters who pulled me so far into this story that I couldn't have put it down for even a moment. They both had to cope with so much torment and tragedy. I felt so sad in the beginning when Leah lost her brother, and then their relationship was filled with such turmoil. Ryder had good intentions but he was breaking Leah's heart with his rejection of their mating. I kept anticipating what it would take to change his mind and let me say that the author came through in a big way. Every woman should have a man who's willing to walk through fire for them. So this was so very romantic and filled with emotional angst and that's why I couldn't put it down. As far as the series goes it is getting more exciting with each book. The common thread was more clearly unveiled as a war between the human and paranormal seems to be inevitable. This latest story was beautifully written to enthrall the readers. I was immensely satisfied with Ryder and Leah's book and with a glimpse into the next one, Wolf Betrayed. Now, that will be Charlotte's book and I'm just guessing but it sounds like it may be a triad ( reminiscent of Trinity Bound which happens to be my personal favorite in the Redwood Pack series). I am so looking forward to that one.
Mated in Mist (Talon Pack #3) by Carrie Ann Ryan Carrie Ann Ryan’s Mated in Mist is another phenomenal book in the Talon Pack Series. Water witch, Leah Helm, is rescued by the Talon Pack after being hunted by humans. Talon Pack Heir, Ryder Brentwood has been hiding an ability from his family. The two work together to help their people. This contemporary shapeshifter novel is suitable for new adult and adult audiences. Carrie Ann Ryan has a gift for continually coming up with exciting and compelling stories. While each book in the collection is related, they are extremely unique adding to the overall experience in the series. I like Leah. My heart broke for her at the loss of her twin and being shunned from her coven. Ryder has been carrying a huge burden of his secret talent. He has kept his secret for a long time considering he is over a century old. I would imagine that it would be difficult experiencing his gift without any support. I like that the Talons and Redwoods are allies and so intermingled. There are a number of antagonists in this story that are each easy to dislike: General Keith Montag, Luis Helm, and Charles McMaster. I enjoyed the plot. It was intense and fit in well with the overall premise of the series. I loved the ending. I cannot wait for Charlotte’s story. Change is rocking the world of the wolves of the Talon Pack and the quiet Heir to the Talon Pack, Ryder Brentwood is about to have his world changed too. Always the protector when he finds two witches dying just outside the pack borders he does what he can to save them. Only one survives and she is fated to be his mate. Ryder seeks to protect her from himself but he is his own worst enemy. He should know that the Goddess wouldn’t pair him with someone who couldn’t handle his issues. This is a dark book with pain and angst but at the end the tears are happy ones. This book took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I highly recommend.
