Art can be found in any place and anything.
Nature is a work of art second to none. It saddens me to think that sometimes life passes by and we fail to see this beauty. For me, art is looking at the universe, seeing the light, seeing the shadow, seeing how wondrous everything is: a flower, a tree, a butterfly, even a bridge, a pot, a piece of furniture, a road someone created all of these things. There is beauty in all things. There is intention and creativity in all things. Today I see beauty in everything; for me, everything is part of Creation. In my eyes, every creation is a work of art not just painting a painting or sculpting a statue, but also cooking a meal, planting a flower, building, paving a road. Everything that people do, especially if done through a deep connection to passion and happiness, to one's essence, to this very profound place of self-knowledge every deed done with passion and good intention, even those that appear to be the most ordinary, will suddenly be energized with meaning, with magic, with holiness and beauty and will become a full joy, will become a work of art.
Passion does not necessarily mean talent. Each and every one of us has their own passion, just as every one of us has their own unique talent. Not only in the literal sense, as the word “talent” is referred to in the world of art. Our talent is the gift that makes us unique. When we find our passion and bring it together with the unique talent that was given to us, we also find our purpose, our place in this world. Our essence.
In my eyes, the aim of and reason for this book is to try and reach the essence by way of the senses
