I received this book promptly enough however I found it to be very poor. The book is written in an outline format and does not go into sufficient detail to explain the concepts. The numerous abbreviations or new vocabulary words are not written in bold making it difficult to find the new words while reading the text. The glossary and index lack any depth. I have spoken with several instructors and other student who have used this book and have yet to find anyone who enjoys this textbook or finds it useful. Many students I spoke with supplemented this text with another text book or study guide.

If this is a required text for your coursework, I urge you to consider a different textbook and correlate the subjects assigned to the different textbook.

This book was a waste of my money and a waste of my time reading it. If the author would use this outline format and flesh out the concepts, ideas and techniques for the second edition, then they might have an acceptable textbook rather than an outline. To call this textbook a watered down edition of Cliff's Notes or Sparks Notes would be too kind. It isn't even accurate to call this a draft of a textbook. It's an outline on which to write the textbook.
