if you've been trained to study with picture books and super heavy 200 dollar animated books, then this book will be CULTURE SHOCK at it's worst form for you!

Fine Reference for basic real/functional analysis

You're kidding, right? How can you have made it to graduate school and find this book confusing or difficult to understand? It is a fine introduction to the Lebesgue integral and Lebesgue measure theory. It is nicely organized and contains well-constructed proofs. I recommend it to anyone who needs this mathematical background for relatively modern topics in signal processing (e.g., time-frequency and time-scale analysis.)

I don't like this book at all.

Things are worded funny and very hard to understand. None of the proofs are explained very well. Personally, I think this book is very difficult to read unless you're familiar with this sort of stuff already.
