    bluford high series

i really think that the bluford high series are amazing and are real to reality. These books relate to all kids in their own special way. I enjoy these books when i read them, and what they do to you is unbelievable. when i read the series, they make you interested and make you want to read more into the story. I feel like im in the situation that they are experiencing and the people seem real. they should write more books like these to the series and there should be more than 15. My favorite characters are Darcy, Hakeem, Cooper, Tarah, Amberlynn, Taray, Darell, Jamee, and Cindy. I enjoy these books a lot!!!!!! Keep making more!!!

    you will love this book

A Matter of Trust was written by Anne Schraff it is a part of the Bluford High Series. This was a great book and it has encouraged me to start reading the other Bluford High books. This is the only one that I have read and I was really impressed by this book. I never really thought that these were good books but, they had some interesting titles. This book was taking place in a normal neighborhood, which is a convenience store, parks, apartment buildings, and a high school that is called Bluford High School. But I never got a chance to read even one of the books in the Bluford High series because I never asked people about these books. This was my first big mistake about my choices in reading, that I will never make again with any series.
The main characters in this book were Darcy, her sister Jamee, their parents, Roylin, her friends Tarah, Cooper, and Brisana, and her boyfriend Hakeem. Roylin was always teasing Darcy's boyfriend Hakeem and being a jerk. Tarah and Cooper were dating and they were really great friends to Darcy. Hakeem was her boyfriend, that was being very comforting to her and he encouraged her to sing at the talent show which she did but ended up not winning. Hakeem won and was really good when he was performing on stage; his performance was singing and playing the guitar.
The climax of this story was when Brisana was trying to steal Darcy's boyfriend, making Brisana the antagonist. So Darcy was the protagonist because she was the main character or the good guy during the whole story. The reason why Brisana was trying to steal Darcy's boyfriend is because they weren't friends anymore. They weren't friends because Darcy started hanging out with Tarah and Cooper, Brisana didn't like that at all. In the story Brisana says that Darcy and her always said that they would never ever hang out with people like Tarah and Cooper. So when Darcy started hanging out with Tarah and Cooper even more than with Brisana, she got angry. So because of that Brisana started seeking revenge which was trying to steal Darcy's boyfriend Hakeem, which she knew would make Darcy feel miserable; like she felt miserable when she started hanging out with Tarah Cooper.
This was a good book because the events that happened throughout the book were all exciting events. The author puts in several events that all teach the characters life lessons. For example, when Hakeem won the Talent Show, got rid of his stuttering problem. Another event that gave a life story is this whole event. So at the day of a party at the park Tarah friends boyfriend Hakeem was about to get in a fight with Roylin because he was teasing him about his stuttering. So Hakeem was chasing him into the parking lot at the park. Then, out of nowhere a car started speeding by with people shooting out of the car. So Roylin was a vulnerable target and because of that Roylin got shot in the head. From this incident Roylin learned that he should never be a bad person to anyone again. Teens can learn a lot about life from this novel.
So overall this was a really great book that I think that everyone should it least try to read it. I am starting on my second Bluford High book and it seems like it also going to be a really great addition to my Bluford High Series background. The book that I am starting to read is called No Way Out by Peggy Kern. The book jumped out at me with the title just like the other book that I read from the Bluford High Series. These are all going

This is my reveiw about the book "A Matter Of Trust"

The book I read "A Matter of Trust" is very interesting. It talks about how a simple change of meeting new friends can tear old friends apart. It all started when Darcy started hanging out with a group called the "zeros". Unfortunately, her friend Brisana did not take a liking to them. But the only reason why she didn't like them; was because she just wanted it to be her and Darcy. Though Darcy didn't feel the same way. She didn't want to shut everybody out. So Brisana tried to get back at her by flirting and lying about hanging out with her boyfriend. She wanted Darcy to know what it felt like to have someone special taken away from you. When that happened, Darcy had finally realized that she was never really close to her. They were basically each other's lunch buddies. They had just been someone for the other person to be with to keep from eat alone. Yet it turned out that Brisana was actually hurting on the inside. She was lonesome and angry and all she knew how to do was hurt other people. In the end their friendship was repaired by Darcy being the bigger person and forgiven Brisana for what she had done. I think this book is very important because it teaches you that trust is very valuable and you can't give it out to everybody because you can't trust everybody. If you're going to trust someone, you should make sure you really know that person.

A Matter of Trust (Bluford High #2)

A Matter of Trust is a great book for teenagers to enjoy. It involves a great mixture of drama, thrill, and action. The character of Darcy Wills is great. She doesn't want to let go of her old friendship, but she also doesn't want to leave her new friends and her new boyfriend. Her old best friend wants to make Darcy jealous because she doesn't like Darcy's new friends. So, she tries to steal Darcy's boyfriend. I won't give away the rest of the story. Anyways, this book is great for people who like drama, thrill, and action. Also read the first book in the series, plus all of the rest of the books after this one. You can follow many of the different characters in each of the books, through the few days, weeks, or months that spans throughout the book that you are reading. The first two books are all about the life of Darcy Wills and her younger sister, Mother, and the father that left them.

    A Matter of Trust Review

This book kept my attention unlike any others that I have read. I think that this would be good for teen girls or boys that are into a romance and drama type of book.
I think you should know about are Hakeem and Darcy they are the main characters. Hakeem is a good singer and guitar player. But he is very shy and when he gets nervous he stutters. Darcy is Hakeem's girlfriend and loves him very much. She is very kind to him and sticks up for him when people make fun of him. This book is about Darcy and her relationship with Hakeem. This relationship was going fine till an old friend name Brisana tries to take Hakeem away from Darcy.
If you like stories about relationship and hearts broken, like I do, then you will love this story. But you have to read the story Lost and Found because it's the first book and it goes with this book. But Brisana in this story is mean and she is trying to steal some ones boyfriend because they aren't friends! And Darcy doesn't know if she should forgive her father because he left their family when they were young. Now her sister thinks she can forgive her father. This book was really good because of the action and the romance.
Will Brisana ruin Darcy and Hakeem's relationship forever? Read to find out.
I do recommend this because I thought it was good and if I like it, I think a lot of other people will too.

    Great series for teens!

I teach reading to 9th-12th grade high school students who are scoring at least 1 grade level lower than they they attend. It is very difficult to get them to pick up a book in the first place, let alone get them to actually finish a single book. They are unhappy to be in my class in the first place because they are embarrassed to be below level. All of my classes are currently devouring this series! They get so into the stories that they can't put the books down. When one student is looking for a book to read, the others start to recommend different Bluford books to them! Not only do they want to read these books, but they actually remember what they read and have their own little sidebar book talks about them! What a great investment!!

    A Book For Enjoying

Some things I did not like about "A Matter of Trust" was that it went on about the same thing for a while and that it did not seem like a book for both boys and girls. I mean a boy could read but I don't think he would like the book very much. One other thing I did not like about the book is that it lost my attention a few times. A Matter of Trust Review

How would you feel if your ex- friend was being mean to you and trying to steal your boyfriend? That's exactly what Darcy is going through. I liked A Matter of Trust because I always wanted to find out what was going to happen next. Also, I liked how it ended. The only thing I didn't like was that sometimes, I didn't know who was who, or what had just happened. Eventually, I figured it out, though. The main character, Darcy, is a little shy, and she cares about other people. I would recommend this book because it is very intriguing, and it's realistic, too. A Matter of Trust is a story about something that would happen at your typical high school, and it's neat to see how Darcy works through her problems. This is a great book about friendship, loyalty, and trust!

    A Matter of Trust

The book that I chose to read was "A Matter of Trust" by Anne Schraff. This book is realistic fiction because the other links her story to real life events that teens face on a everyday basis. "A Matter of Trust" was written in third person and took place in a realistic world in Mr. Keenan's classroom. This book expresses the fact that people should trust each other. The story is based on Darcy Wills who is the main character. In this story Darcy faces many problems with her ex-best friend Brisina, her soon to be boyfriend, and her father who walked out on her family for five years. In the story Darcy and Brisina are good friends until Darcy began to hang out with Tarah and Cooper. After Darcy began to hang out with Tarah and Cooper, Brisna tried her best to ruin her relationship with Hakeem by telling her lies about Hakeem, such as Hakeem and I went to the beach yesterday and had a terrific time. Dealing with her school issues she has a bigger problems at home, taking care of her grandmother and dealing with her father who is really trying to slide back in Darcy and Jamee(Darcy's sister) lives. Everyone picks on Hakeem because he has a speech problem when he delivers, but Darcy loves him no matter what. My favorite part in this story was, when Darcy and Brisna get into a small fight, because Brisana lied about going to the beach with Hakeem, but Darcy put all that behind her and made up with Brisana. The worst part of this book was the drive-by at Tarah's birthday party. Roylin Bailey wasn't even invited but he came any way. He tried to pick on Hakeem but it didn't work, they both got into a fight and Roylin was shot in the head but he survived. Meanwhile, Mr. Wills and Jamee go out for dinner but Darcy really isn't to thrilled about him anymore. Mrs. Wills really doesn't want to turn her life back into her ex-husbands hands, because of what he had done in the past. In the end of the story Hakeem finally asked Darcy on a date and they were finally acting like a real couple. I really enjoyed this book, because it really linked to real life in high school. I loved how the author used language that teens use on an everyday basis. I would recommend this book to anyone who is in high school, because you have to trust people and know when someone is lying to get threw this world.
