Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Bynum was a noted minister and head of her own ministry but was feeling overwhelmed by concerns that she was unsuccessful. As she tried to deal with this fear, she said that God came to her and told her to stop thinking about worldly concerns and to start thinking about the condition of her heart toward him. This meeting led Bynum to encourage people to develop a new heart that helped them to follow the will of God and to do works that led to a healthy and satisfying life. The author quotes extensively from the King James Version of the Bible and also cites a number of scientific experts who talk about how the heart controls the body and how a change of heart can alter the whole person. Reader Sandra Burr sounds extremely earnest, as if she truly believes what Bynum is saying. For libraries with strong religion sections, but not a necessary purchase.-Danna Bell-Russel, Library of Congress Copyright 2004 Reed Business Information.
